The 2nd Tanzania Artificial Intelligence (AI) Forum will take place from 19th to 21st August 2026 at the PSSSF Commercial Complex, Dar es salaam, bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders to explore the trans-formative potential of AI under the theme-

“Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Inclusive Digital Transformation and Sustainable Development”

AI is rapidly reshaping economies, governance systems, and societies across the globe. From enhancing productivity to improving service delivery and decision-making, AI has become a cornerstone of the global digital economy. In Tanzania, AI represents a strategic opportunity to accelerate the digital transformation initiatives, improve competitiveness, and address pressing socio-economic challenges. As the country advances its digital economy strategies, there is growing recognition of the need to adopt emerging technologies such as AI in a manner that is inclusive, ethical, and aligned with national development priorities.

Building on the success of the 1st AI Forum held in 2025, the second edition aims to deepen national dialogue and catalyze action on AI adoption and governance. The Forum will serve as a high-level platform for knowledge exchange, policy discussion, and partnership building among key stakeholders. It reflects the country’s commitment to positioning itself as a proactive participant in the global AI landscape and as a regional leader in responsive and inclusive AI development.

The 2nd AI Forum theme aligns closely with the digital transformation initiatives and efforts to build a resilient, knowledge-based economy. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting innovative, data-driven solutions in sectors critical to human development such as health, agriculture, finance, education, transport, tourism, fisheries, manufacturing, and real estate. By emphasizing inclusivity, the Forum underscores the importance of ensuring that AI benefits all segments of society, including women, youth, and underserved communities, while expanding partnerships that support safe, responsible, ethical, and inclusive AI adoption.
